Why foam — and why Feldherr?

Aeldari models present three specific transport challenges that magnetic systems struggle with: (1) extremely thin protruding parts like banners, spears and wing tips that snap under lateral pressure; (2) large multi-part models like the Wraithknight where the torso, arms and base need to be supported independently; (3) Harlequin diamond patterns and Ghostly Blue schemes where any foam-on-paint friction causes micro-scratches. Feldherr uses a fine-pore foam made in Germany that is softer than most competitors, colour-safe, and cut to the exact silhouette of each model — not generic slots.

The Wraithknight in particular requires a two-layer foam solution: a lower tray holds the body, legs and base plus four Windriders and a Vyper; the upper tray covers the raised torso and weapon arms with a custom cut-out so nothing presses against the ghostglaive or suncannon. This set is available as a ready-to-go bundle.

How do I transport a Wraithknight safely? Use a dedicated two-part foam tray set (FSMEJU130BO) that surrounds the model from below and above. Do not use generic pluck foam — the Wraithknight's weapon arms and leg pose create pressure points that generic foam cannot accommodate.

Can I store a Hemlock Wraithfighter without removing the wings? Yes — the FSMEXD105BO tray is cut specifically for the Hemlock Wraithfighter at full wingspan, so you do not need to disassemble the model.

Do the trays fit Wave Serpent with the turret on? Yes, the HSMEKV090BO tray accommodates a Wave Serpent or Falcon with turret attached.
