The foam mat is cut to 360 mm x 270 mm and is 30 mm high, allowing it to fit neatly inside standard 40 cm x 30 cm Euroboxes while leaving enough edge clearance for easy insertion and removal. Its size makes it compatible with a wide range of commonly used Euro containers, including but not limited to models such as the Auer Packaging 40x30 ED 43/32 HG.

The characteristic zigzag profile divides the surface of the mat into 7 crosswise ridges, each 360 mm long. This structure creates alternating peaks and valleys: from the base to the tip of a peak the height is approximately 30 mm, while the depth from the base to the valley floor is about 13 mm. Each leg of the zigzag is roughly 24 mm long. This geometry helps to secure long, narrow items such as drills, screwdrivers, rods or other elongated tools by allowing them to nest in the valleys or between the ridges, reducing movement during storage and transport.

The fine-pored, high-quality foam cushions sensitive surfaces and contributes to a gentle yet firm hold on the stored objects. Being chlorine-free and acid-free, the material is suitable where chemically neutral storage is desired, helping to avoid unwanted reactions with metal surfaces or other materials placed on the mat.
